My comment in ds_noticeboard was made while I was downloading the mp3s. I listened to them at work and have been mentally writing my feedback all morning (and trying not to cry/gush/squee while at work - not a good look, I'm told ;)

(Incidentally, I hadn't read either of these pieces before, so your reading was my first encounter with them.)

Firstly, I love that way you say "Fraser." You linger on his name as if it's delicious. It makes me smile every time.

Dance First: I found this so gentle, so poignant. Your technical skills, fading the music in and out, were great, and your reading in general was pitch-perfect: melodic, well-paced, gentle.

Sex and Dancing and Rock'n'Roll: Oh boy, not only was this really lovely, but HOT! Your breathless dialogue at the end was awesome. Again, the pace was great.

I found both these stories had an element of poignancy, with Fraser on the outside, contemplating and longing. You created that feeling without being melodramatic, and while maintaining a light enough tone that it wasn't depressing (I'm not sure if I'm being clear on what I mean, but I can't figure out a better way of saying it). Then, when the stories turned and Fraser was drawn in, you kept the same pace and warmth.

Also, I really enjoy your accent :)

Thank you so much for making these podfics - they are a VERY welcome addition to my iPod!

Thank you so much for this detailed feedback! You summarized wonderfully the moods and feelings that I wanted to convey. :)

I was fascinated how different the stories developed from a similar starting point.
